How can I fix the digitizer and screen?

I replaced the screen on this broke iphoone 5c. It now looks like the pictures above and is getting a little hot in the upper right corner (on the back where the digitizer and screen connects). I need some help on how to fix it.

Thanks,

David

Hi David! Check the cables of the lcd and the digitizer,if they are damaged. As i see from the pictures i believe you haven't connected the cables very well(i had a same situation with an iphone 5 the lcd cable was bent and not correctly connected to the mainboard). After unpluging and pluging again the cables power on the iphone before assembling it again.

hey thanks for that insight. I tried the screen on another iphone 5c... it worked. I'm thinking there is an issue with the logic board. Does anybody have any insight on a specific part that could be switched on the logic board to fix the display/digitizer?

Thanks,

David Ogle

David, this can be caused by a bad digitizer connector. As you can see the connector lacks metal ends and this is what makes it a weak connector. It is easily possible to damage the connector by mis-aligning the digitizer connector

like this. Check the ends of the connector. The plastic of the connector has been compressed into the connector, causing it to flare out and preventing from making proper contact.

oldturkey03, Thanks for that! I don't see any issues with the connectors. I'm going to post the pics in the 'answered'. Please take a look and tell me what you think...
