Percolator won't turn off.

My Farberware coffee pot brews the coffee, but won't turn off. It keeps on perking until I pull the plug. Is it the Thermostat?

Yes, it's the thermostat. The solder joint on it may have popped open or it may just need a new one. There are different models with different parts so be sure to check your model number before buying. Here's a video on repairing it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ysj7yj7D...

How do I remove the bottom plate to access the thermostat? It's a Farberware Vintage Model #208. TY

There should be a big Phillips screw right in the bottom of the plate.

There are 3 regular screws that I removed. But the plate won't budge.

Just pull it off, the older ones kind of push/snap on.
