Port used to recharge kindle is loose and won't charge!

Due to over charging the port that I would attach the USB to is very loose. At first it may seem like it is but the littlest movement can dislodge it and it won't charge. Can this be fixed or replaced?

Try a different USB cable if you haven't already, I've found that some cables stop working after a few months. There is no way to replace just the USB port as it is integrated onto the motherboard.

So it would be impossible to solder and re-solder a new port?
