Maximum RAM with SSD upgrade?

If I upgrade my current hard drive to a 1T SSD for my mid 2012 Unibody MBP, does that mean my computer can take a higher maximum RAM or is it still 8GB between the two slots? I also read that unofficially MBPs can take up to 32 GB, does the hard drive affect this?

There is no direct dependency between the HD storage and RAM memory. You can alter one without altering the other.

Before you do either what don't you tell us why you think you need more storage or RAM.

Actually as it was said before, both are unrelated.

You can top the RAM to 16Gb (I own an MBP13 Mid 2012) and it will take most of the things you throw at it effortlessly.
