A MacBook Pro 15" Late 2008 logic board will fit one of these systems: MacBookPro5,1
A MacBook Pro 15" Mid 2010 logic board will fit one of these systems: MacBookPro6,2
I would not recommend trying to mix the two series. While things may appear to be the same there is often enough differences to make it not work.
