Why doesn't my Phillips Picopix display the green light anymore?

Hi. I bought this very compact pocket projector some months ago, and it worked fine. But one day I turned it on and the image was all yellow-ish. I believe those projectors use three light colors: red, green and blue, so I looked at the image carefully, and indeed noticed that everything that should have been green was a dark, undefined color.

So I deduced that the part of this projector that actually emits the green light (a LED, I presume?) was out of order, and of course, I'd like to fix/replace that. But I have no idea how to!

Not yet, sadly... I'm afraid the device isn't meant to be repaired.

When I saw th eprice for repair, I destroyed and recycled

I have good news. I open it and I pressed all the cable adapters so that they can make a better contact. The bad news is that one cable adapter, the one close to the lens - leds module, was a little bit burned. I think it was the cable adapter that has many green cables.

My Picopix 3610 now works fine, but I don't know for how long. :-)

Please, can you indicate how you opened the Picopix as I don't see any screw and I don't want to crush it?

There are two screws on the bottom hidden under rubber grommets. After that, pry the top off with a plastic card.

Thanks this fixed my picopix as well.

Thanks : it works as well. Same part was a little burnt and I just unplug then reply it.

After some time, it stopped working again (the screen was yellow-ish again), so I re-opened it and I noticed that the cable adapter was burned a lot this time. I replaced the cables with new ones, but I soldered them directly on the board, without using the connector. Now it works fine, for quite a long time since then.
