Is it possible to clean under individual key?

For some reason, my recently bought MacBook Pro 13" retina has a sticky Enter key. I have absolutely no idea why, but I'm worried that if I take it to the Apple store (despite the warranty) they'll claim that I've spilled something into it. So I was wondering, since only the Enter key is affected, is it possible to remove only this one key (without opening up the entire computer) and clean under the key - maybe with alcohol - safely?

Many thanks,

Florian

Yes, you can take off the key cap and its possible the wire actuator has slipped (causing it to not spring back).

If you spilled something then I would recommend using a cotton swab (Q-Tip) slightly moistened with distilled water to clean the area. Make sure you don't over wet the swab as you don't want the water to drip in. You can also give the area a second wipe with a good grade of Isopropyl alcohol to clean any oily deposits and to speedup the drying.
