Can not install OS X Jaguar nor Panther on my IBook G3 900 MHz 12"

My IBook was running fine with OS X 10.3.9, after attemting to install Tiger 10.4.x on it, the install program self aborted with a message of "errors detected".

Now seems that my HD 40 GB is "corrupted" and I am not capable of re-instaling even the 10.2.x OS X. I have tried to repair the disk with the DISK UTILITY which is enclosed in the original install disk but has nor possible to repair, erase or anything else.

I even tried with DBAN CD, but the program does not show any progress after hours running.

What can I do?

Well, you've definitely tried most of my suggestions already.

You could try using firewire 400 to connect it to another mac, from that mac you could try erasing the hard drive with disc utility and then re-imaging it with either the image from that mac or the image from your discs.

Looks like your HDD has non-reprable damage, it needs then to be replaced. Check this guide for instructions:
