Why is my daughters iPhone 4S going to 50% in 3 hours.
I got my daughter a used iPhone 4S for Xmas. The battery life in her phone was getting drained pretty quickly when she used it so I thought it needed a new battery. So I bought a new battery and replaced and now she is seeing almost the same battery life.
If you charge it to 100%, let it sit unused, the battery stays relatively charged. However, if she uses it, she can literally take it from 98% to 50% in 2-3 hours.
Is there any reason for this?
Could it be a "short" of some kind?
I did notice something when I replaced the battery. The little cable that comes from the speaker module under the battery connector had no covering left where it touches the little clip on the board about a half of an inch before the connector. I figured the covering was removed there on purpose for some sort of "ground" to the board. Now I am wondering if the lack of covering there could be a problem. So is the covering suppose to be there or not because I could easily get some shrink wrap there and fix it if it is not suppose to be touching the holding clip.
Thanks in advance for help.

Can't return the phone at this point. A cursory search on Google makes it look like this is a very common problem with the iPhone 4S. However, my iPhone 4S is fine??
