I have a phone my co-worker that was working on and he screwed something up. i suspect this to be the issue?

phone cant get a signal. phone using CDMA network.

qpunk, that is reference designator U1001_RF and it is a FPF1039 − Low On-Resistance, Slew-Rate-Controlled Load Switch. The datasheet for that is available right here. It is part of the Baseband PMU. Hope this helps, good luck.
