Have a 4S that has water damage but everything seems to work except it won't restore. When connected to iTunes it says the phone is in recovery mode. When I click restore it says "Software for this iPhone is not currently available. Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes and try again."
Have the latest version of iTunes.
So, not sure what the deal is. Any ideas?

You could try and manually download the latest IOS software and then when you click restore....hold shift and click restore. It will then open a box asking you to point to the software you want to restore. Maybe it will allow you to do it this way? You should also try putting the phone into DFU mode and see if it will restore that way.

Yeah, I did DFU already. No difference.
Ill try to manually load the software.
