15 in displays blue screen only.

I was given 2 studio displays in trade for 2 beige G3's, the 15 in power on but only gave a blue screen and nothing else, any ideas as to what went wrong? the video card is ok, used it on a 17 in studio unit and it works great!

This is my first apple display, as for resolution, I don't know, the 17in version did not have any adjustments needed, it was literally plug and play. the 1024X768 is the optimum for the 15in., 1280X1024 is max for the 17in. I will have to give it a try and see if that might help, the last owner had the same problem. the cable and connector look good

as well. thanks for the advice.
