Mousepad-problem - clicks are not registered

Hello,

I have a 6 month old Late 2008 MacBook Pro 15" and about 4 months after purchase the mouse-pad developed a clicker-problem. A normal, standard (quick, not-too hard) click stopped being registered and required a much harder and somewhat lengthy click every time. Double-clicks started to be a bigger problem and general internet surfing began being annoying due to the repeated clicks required as and when I wanted to perform an action. I took the MacBook to an Apple-dealer who opened the back and apparently did something to the mouse-pad which made it function normally for a bout 3 days after which it reverted to being annoyingly difficult to use.

Has anyone out there encountered the same problem and can you help?

Many thanks in advance.

Vuk

I know there is a screw on the opposite side of the track pad that when tightened prevents clicking. If you open up the bottom case and remove the battery it should be accessible. You'll need to use a T6 driver and all that needs to be done is to loosen it.
