Tightening the hinge on the MacBook Pro with Retina Display

crwdns2934249:0crwdne2934249:0:

Hi guys,

I recently got the MacBook Pro with Retina Display and noticed that the hinge was rather loose. It's not to the point where the display would move up/down when I'm typing on solid surface, but it does wobble more than my previous MacBook Pro and there isn't as much resistance when I'm opening or closing the lid.

My question for anyone, but perhaps to the person who disassembled this laptop, is how easy it is to tighten the screws on the hinge. I bought the iFixit tools necessary to open the bottom plate (except the plastic prying tool). I'm wondering if the plastic cover (that goes over the hinge) comes off easily and if no glue is required. If so, can anyone give me a little more detailed instruction than the two pictures on the teardown guide?

Thank!
