When I inserted the screw into the red-circled hole in the photo, I made sure to keep it perfectly vertical at a 90-degree angle. However, the thread inside seems to have been damaged.
The first few threads from the top — about 3 turns — appear to be deformed at a 90-degree angle, preventing the screw from going in all the way.
As a result, the screw gets stuck and cannot be tightened properly.
