So, a few months back, I wanted to do a little bit of shopping, so I went to the thrift store to be able to find something like a computer for "fun".
I ended up finding this Asus laptop for only $10! Amazing. Took it home, charged it, and it booted up to some random person's account.
Yep, the smart person that donated this laptop/tablet decided it was too hard to sign into their Microsoft account and click a few buttons to clear all data from said laptop.
Now I have their first name, last name, children photos, and email. Remember kids, clear your computers.
Now I'm stuck with a bitlocker blocking my way, and with my only contact with this person not responding, and a tech nerd saying the laptop is impenetrable, I need a new plan.
This is where replacing the SSD came in.
If I replace the SSD with a new one with Win 10 installed, I could bypass the bitlocker and have another computer to mess around with and sell about 2 months later.
Problem, I don't know how to repair anything.
I never EVER touched a repair tool once in my life, and I'm not smart enough to know how to take off glass without breaking it.
***TL;DR: I bought computer with personal info, no way of clearing because of bitlocker, want to replace SSD to bypass bitlocker, too stupid to be able to repair properly.***
***So, how can I take apart this device, replace the SSD, and put it back together again without damaging anything as a beginner.***
