Use a strong light and a magnifying glass to visually inspect the camera's USB port enclosure to check if the 5 pins are all OK and that they're all straight and parallel and not bent or missing. Also check that there's no debris (lint etc?) lodged in the port that may be preventing a good electrical connect. If there is ''do not'' use a pin or metal probe to try and remove it, use a vacuum cleaner to get it out.
