Same thing happened to me with the left shoulder button. I managed to find the test pad on the other side of the board using the button test in the system settings. I kept shorting different testing pads until I found the one that triggered the L button.

Then I used some enamel wire to solder the middle pin of the button to the test pad. It has to be quite thin because the holder for the trigger screws on top.

The test pad will be different for every revision of the board. Mine is Revision G.
