Is there nothing else stuck in the drive? Could be caused by the the top loader.

I would completely replace the drive to be sure that it's OK.

Those drives are not that expensive and it's pretty easy to do.

The PCB does ***NOT*** need to be transferred, so you are good to go with a replacement drive.
