Companies such as CRC make a spray lubricant specifically for electronics. You can try shooting a little bit of electronics lubricant into the faceplace bracket slots (not the CD loading slot). That might help. Be sure to use just a tiny bit of spray and try to get the lubricant's aiming straw poked into the slot so you can reach the inner mechanism. If that doesn't work you'll likely need to disassemble the unit and realign the faceplate mechanism. Easy repair for a professional shop, but it'll still cost a fair bit $. By the way, the Pioneer DEH-880PRS is one of my all-time favorite head units! It's a gem!
