The Switch1 had a design limitation that the power supply ran through the battery only.
This meant that, if the battery failed, you couldn’t run the device on mains power. Also, if the battery was not exercised periodically it would die. This meant if you primarily used your Switch docked, it could completely die (unless the battery was replaced).
When you do your Switch2 tear-down, could you check whether this design approach is the same?
