Assuming that you have a 1993 Acura Legend coupe, (saw your other post on ifixit) check what ODB1 DTC code(s) are being shown. If there are any they should tell you what's wrong with the engine.

¹ If you can't find the OBD1 port as shown in the video I've read that for a '93 Legend LS 2 door coupe the OBD1 port is on the driver's side, on the right side of the steering wheel, about knee high, under the dash near the stereo console. Where the plastic piece which covers all the wiring under dash finishes.
