How long does the laptop stay on for, when on battery power only?

Create a [https://www.windowscentral.com/generate-battery-report-windows-10|battery report] to check the condition of the battery.

When you have the report, compare the ''Design Capacity'' value versus the ''Full Charge Capacity'' value as shown by the report. For a good battery the values should be nearly the same.

You can work out the condition of the battery as a percentage by using the formula ''Full Charge Capacity value x 100 ÷ Design Capacity value.'' If it is <40% you may want to consider replacing the battery soon.
