While replacing a very flaked off & damaged screen rubber I noticed this

There appears to be one very thin wire that is attached to it but the screen & everything is still working fine (Camera, WiFi, Bluetooth) with no 'special' effects....But, something looks broken... what is it?

Footnote: What is needed to stick down the bottom corners of the rubber behind the hinges? 3m tape does not stick to them.... hate these jobs :(

Footnote: What is needed to stick down the bottom corners of the rubber behind the hinges? 3m tape does not stick to them.... The part in question appeared to have been stuck to the rubber and may have 'broken' when I removed the rubber from it.... I reallyhate these jobs :(
