Hi @thaddeuskarow
Has the WiFi in the laptop worked OK before, with your particular home WiFi network?
''If it has,'' try using the WiFi on the laptop as close as possible to your home WiFi network router i.e. <15cm and check if it now detects, connects and maintains a stable connection.
''If it now works OK'' it may be a loose or faulty antenna connection to the WLAN (WiFi) network card in the laptop.
Here's the ifixit [guide|113750] guide that will help you to check if it is OK or not.
Do you know the passwords for the other WiFi networks that the laptop's WiFi detects but won't connect to?
Have you changed your home network WiFi router or the frequency band the home network router is now operating on at all?
-The laptop works on the 2.4GHz signalling band only and not on the 5GHz band.
+The laptop works on the 2.4GHz signalling band ''only'' and not on the 5GHz band as well.
