My Screen Backlight won't turn on after a hinge repair

1st things to mention are:
(1) What I did before my backlight won't turn on is I try to disconnect my IO cables from the IO board but fails due to the fact I'm trying to fix my hinge in my laptop since it is wear down and also I accidentally turn on my laptop when doing so. the next thing I did is...
(2) I disconnected my laptop's battery to avoid the accidental turn on of my laptop. By the I'm done fixing my laptop hinge, I'm aware that my edp cable is slightly tuged when I'm assembling back my laptop...
(3) Edp seems fine I guess? and I already check it with my multimeter in continuity mode... Though I'm skeptical since I lack the knowledge how to fully use a multimeter...
Note: One thing to mention is I have done the fundemental backlight repair in youtube like refreshing the graphics software and disconnecting and reconnecting the cmos battery, I'm not sure about my lcd screen but on the other hand I haven't check the fuse in my Motherboard...
Please help me fix my problem, I don't want my dad to find out since I'm a CSS student and I desperately need this machine in college.
