The IPA - use 90% or higher and NOT the rubbing type - dissolves the glue. Use it to remove and clean up the tape residue AFTER removing the part.

There is a glue for this - B-7000 (transparent) or T-7000 (black) - yeah, go figure. You would assume B = Black and T= Transparent.

It is suppose to remain rubbery.
