Hi @charlieyahr
Here's a link that has a [https://www.partselect.com/PS557957-Whirlpool-4389144-Evaporator-Fan-Motor-120V-60Hz.htm?SourceCode=21&SearchTerm=ED5FHEXNL00&ModelNum=ED5FHEXNL00|video] that shows how to replace the evaporator fan motor in the freezer compartment.
I'm not saying that it is the problem but at least you may be able to find out if the noise is emanating from the fan or not.
''If the fan motor is the problem'' and needs to be replaced, search online for [https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=4389144|4389144] to find suppliers that suit you best. (supplier examples only).
''If there's an excessive ice build up on the evaporator unit,'' that may be impacting on how the fan behaves (hence the noise) then there's a defrost problem. Post back if it is and we'll try to help further
