Phone worked after battery replacement then suddenly stopped

Hello,
I did the battery replacement of my Pixel 7 and everything looked fine. It powered on and it kept running for quite a bit (around 6h). I put the phone to go through one of the updates and it died.
The phone does not power on. It seems to not be charging and I tried resetting holding buttons and also the find my phone to see if the screen was the issue and nothing.
The old battery was swollen but not fully dead so I tried plugging back again and still no luck.
Any ideas of what I can check? Can I use a multimeter to see if something shortened? I live in a country where Pixel parts are not easy to come about so I am trying everything...
