@yajurduddala @v3nuo thanks for the suggestions. They didn't help. I am thinking hardware failure. This is a 5-year-old laptop whose model is out of support, so Lenovo is not helpful. I am more concerned that this seems to have been caused by the iFixIt battery but I can't be sure.
