Thank you for your feedback regarding the tool mounting. I will forward it over to our product development team for further review. In the meantime.
-While the long term cosmetic quality of your product is a valid concern. One point worth noting is that the enclosure of the FixHub power station and soldering iron are both anodized aluminum. If you are unfamiliar with what anodization is I won't belabor the point but it is surface hardening method which in this case is used primarily for it's cosmetic appearance and long term durability. Here is a link that compares the two paint with anodization. [link|https://www.lorin.com/anodized-aluminum-vs-painted-aluminum-coating-durability/|https://www.lorin.com/anodized-aluminum-vs-painted-aluminum-coating-durability/] This is not to say it will last forever but it should hold up longer than a painted enclosure would have. Unfortunately, I don't believe there is really a way to avoid rubbing the clip on the enclosure at the moment.

Regarding the tightness of the clip, it was designed this way intentionally as it provides the necessary friction to keep the soldering iron at the users desired angle. After testing a couple different iterations the round tool holder with the tight clip performed the best at preventing the soldering iron from drooping.
