Disc player stopped working (RVL-001)

As the title says the disc drive stopped working model (RVL-001) USA, compatible with game cube, I am from Europe and I can't buy one in the USA, however I found this one( [product|IF207-001] ) from here on the site, would there be any problem since the drive is European and the Wii is American? The Wii doesn't read discs unfortunately
