Not sure if my fixed problem is related to this post, but I hope my experience helps someone. My Samsung refrigerator would make a cooing sound (similar to a mourning dove) a number of times throughout the day. Called Samsung and they couldn’t point to anything specific other than tell me to monitor the issue since my frig was making ice and temps of freezer and frig were normal. Well after really looking good with a flashlight in the very back of the ice making tray, in the freezer, where the cooing seemed to be originating (with tray removed) I could see some ice cubes jammed up in the very back/top of the ice making tray. I removed the blockage and the sound doesn’t occur any longer. I hope that helps someone.
