Why is my PS5 controller failing to update software?

When PS have updated controller software in the past the controllers have updated with no issues, however in a more recent update only one of my controllers has managed to update. The other controller I’m trying to update gets to 100% on the progress bar for the software update, then the update completely restarts and no matter how many times I try to update the controller software when it prompts me to do so it will not update, and I’m unable to use the controller at all, please help.
