Hi Belt, there's a good chance your washer's clutch is wearing out. The clutch helps the motor & transmission to spin the tub, allowing it to gradually build up speed as the spin cycle starts. If you'd like to verify the clutch is actually the problem before ordering a new one, follow the video instructions as far as removing the transmission, and look at the clutch parts. If there is a lot of black dust in the clutch it means the brake parts are wearing out and you'll need a new one. A quick internet search like "Whirlpool LSQ8520JQ0 washer parts" should give several options for finding a new clutch.
