Try connecting the zener diode directly across either PC230 or PC231 and not to the pads for PD203.
-If the motherboard model is an NM-C221, the schematic shows that the diode is in parallel connection with both of these capacitors. If they both still connect to PR229 resistor and pin 3 of the DC-In jack it should be OK.
