Hi @umarkhan15083
With the laptop turned on and a display showing on an external monitor, switch the display back to the laptop screen and then try shining a flashlight at an angle, close to the screen and check if you can see any images at all on the screen.
They will be ''very faint'' if they are there at all, so trying this in a darkened room may help to see them.
***''If you can see images''*** on the screen, then there's a backlight problem with the screen.
This could be due to any of the following, in no set order:
* A faulty backlight power supply on the motherboard. Check if there voltage on pins 1 & 2 of the EPD connector on the motherboard where the EDP (video) cable from the screen connects to the the motherboard. If there's no voltage then it could be a blown F3301 [https://www.ebay.com/itm/275794559088|3A_32V_ERBRD3R00X fuse] (example only).
* A loose EDP cable connection (at either end, motherboard or LCD panel)
* A damaged EDP cable where it passes through the hinge to get from the motherboard to the LCD panel in the lid
* A faulty LCD panel.
Here's the [document|34362|hardware maintenance manual] for the laptop that will help. It shows the procedures to remove various components so that you can check the above.
***''If you can't see any images''*** on the screen, then there's a problem on the motherboard and further testing using the [document|41263|schematics] will be required to find out what's wrong.
