You may have to replace the steering wheel clockspring.

I can't find a video online for your model vehicle that shows how to do this, but here's a [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qk2hHFt1Xmw|video] that ''in general'' shows what's involved in replacing a steering wheel clockspring.

You also have to disable the air bag as well as you don't want it going off when doing a repair.

I think that the part number for the clockspring in your model is [https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=MK645546+ML233533+|MK645546 ML233533] but you may want to verify this (examples only to show part)

Safest option is to get the [https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=2016+canter+euro+5+service+manual|service manual] for the vehicle as this will show the procedure for how to replace it correctly and safely.
