New battery won't charge

crwdns2934249:0crwdne2934249:0:

During the process of replacing my battery, the battery board cable broke. I replaced the cable with this one from Amazon: [link|https://a.co/d/3S4QvuP|https://a.co/d/3S4QvuP] However, now it won't charge. The machine boots up fine but the battery doesn't charge. I've doubled checked the power and data connections and they appear solid. I'm wondering if it's the cable or how I inserted it. The leads face up, right? I clamped the plastic locks on both end and it appears secure. Any suggestions?
