If you're referring to the battery sold here on iFixit, then the answer would be, it depends.
They sell two different options; one is the battery by itself, and the other is called a Fix Kit, which costs an extra $5 USD.
The Fix Kit comes with all of the tools and parts needed to complete the repair, and in this case it does include the screen adhesive to secure and seal the display back onto the phone when you're done replacing the battery.
Be aware that any time you open up a phone the original IP water ingress rating is lost, whether it's done by you or a repair shop. Replacing the screen adhesive goes a long way toward sealing the phone against liquid, but there are no guarantees no matter what you do.
