Little Gold 'contact' fell off when replacing battery?

My question is... When I replaced the battery on my son's Google pixel 6, a little gold 'contact' fell out of the inside. As you can see by my crudely labelled pic, this 'contact' is the same as point 1 and 2 but came from somewhere around the '?' area.
Can anyone confirm what this is and whether I need a professional replacement or will the phone be ok without it. I did so well as my first time repair but this little thing just fell out. I'm assuming it's something important 😔 and my attempt at saving a few quid by doing the repair myself has actually cost me more. Thank you in advance
