Disconnected the cmos battery, or what should have been (haven't popped the under-casing-cover yet but the two wire lea for a mos battery next to a round spot of cover is a dead giveaway)[br]

Your troubleshooting light link is useless for this laptop family at this point, wanting to preach about a red/white combo of lights, but never telling you anything about "What if there is no red in the capslock light?" [br]
