The 2014 unit I have here only has 4 GB RAM so I want to swap over the 8 GB RAM from a 2015 donor board. I understand that we also need to swap over a resistor or 2 to make them readable by the system ([link|https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIsMx28Pakg|A video on this)]. But my question is can we simply lift them from the 2015 board and transplant them directly to the 2014 board? As it is unclear if they used new RAM modules or ones taken from another board as I am concerned regarding the solder balls on the RAMS.
