-I poked around in the dark corners of the internet but had no luck whatsoever locating anyone who sold the on-of switch, let alone any information whatsoever on the switch itself. As a matter of fact, even pictures of it are hard to come by; the only one I came up with was a screen capture from a repair video for the button switches.

Unfortunately, this image doesn't have nearly enough resolution to give us any hope of identifying the switch.
We may have a chance of finding a suitable replacement if you can open the mouse up and get us some good, high resolution photos of the switch. There's virtually no chance it's a custom part, so the odds are very good there's a replacement part that could be located on something like digikey.com or mouser.com. Even better would be to take a set of calipers and measure the dimensions (length and width) of the switch; the distance between the pins soldered to the circuit board would help.
