Hi, here my own experience. Maybe useful for someone. I have iMac 27", late 2013. Wtih Samsung 990 PRO 2TB installed via adapter iMac even not start (no fans, no beep, nothing). Solution worked for me is to change Samsung 990 PRO to Kingston Fury Renegade 2TB. Sorry for my English :)
