Component labelled as RFF2 purpose?

crwdns2934249:0crwdne2934249:0:

Hi there I had a question if anyone knew what the name of the component labelled RFF2 on the Series controller (1914) is called or does?

I see it's part of the circuitry involved for connectivity

I suspect it is some form of either signal amplifier or something along those lines.

My controller had no power and was creating a whine noise. Upon further inspection the SoC sub board had a short which identified by the component labelled RFF2 was incredibly hot, after removing it power was restored but the range of the controller was terrible.

I am aware I can just use it plugged in but I need wireless functionality.

Thanks in advance!
