I am getting the same problem as well.
BEFORE ANYONE STATES ITS THE CABLE, ITS NOT THE CABLE I HAVE A NEW OEM DATA CABLE.
So I have tried a new data cable, doesn’t work, this is my 7 year old sons console by the way, and he has just spent £50 of his Christmas money on a new official controller, as the other 2 don’t work. But still doesn’t work. Done safe mode, and if the controller is plugged in, to either port the controller reacts to operate the chosen option. Have tried everything down to full initialisation and reloaded the os from usb, twice on both usb ports. That works fine, but the minute I then ask for fresh set up, plug the controller in (all 3) nothing but flashing white lite then orange to say charging.
Please can someone come back to me with a solution. My son is broken hearted and I can’t afford to go and buy him another console, even used. I feel I really have tried everything. And remember it’s not the data cable!
