I'm experiencing the exact same issue. It started after I stored it during a trip in a room with some humidity. I've been using it like this for a year now. I'm not sure if that was really the cause of the problem, but when I leave it on for a while, the green color on the screen disappears completely. I still haven't found a definitive solution.
