Hi @pete89027
Here's the [document|40797|service manual] that may help.
Go to p.72 and check if performing the procedure as shown in ''Sect. 5-1-3. Test mode (manual operation / manual defrost function) 1). Manual operation function (Force Run)'' and check if the freezer temp reaches the correct temp.
There is what is known as a [link|https://www.partselect.com/PS12082492-Samsung-DA62-04678A-Step-Valve.htm?SourceCode=21&SearchTerm=RF27T5241SR&ModelNum=RF27T5241SR|Step Valve] (example only) that is used to control the flow of refrigerant to the evaporator unit.
-When the temp is incorrect i.e. 25°F also try S''ect. 5-1-5. Display function of Load condition'' on p.82 to see if the F-Valve is open - see p.83 #18
+When the temp is incorrect i.e. 25°F also try S''ect. 5-1-5. Display function of Load condition'' on p.82 to see if the F-Valve is open - see p.83 #18. I think that this is the step valve and hopefully not the water inlet valve if there is one for the ice maker
Might explain why the temp doesn't go lower but doesn't explain the display showing the incorrect temp. Maybe there are two problems. Hopefully not.
Fridges are getting too complicated ;-(
