Replaced screen, Google splash screen, then nothing

I recently replaced my Pixel 4a 5G screen and the Google boot up splash screen shows up perfectly. However, the display does nothing after that. The phone is on as the touch sensor registers when touched (haptic feedback). Any ideas on the problem?
